Does Restore Island work offline?

Yes. The game is played entirely on your phone. With the internet switched off it shows no ads and sends nothing.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no account or sign-up, and your progress (stars, coins and where you were) stays on your phone.

How many puzzles are there?

Five kinds of puzzle (jigsaw, pipes, twist, pairs and flip) across five islands with 68 places to restore. Each place has three stars: one for finishing, one for beating the clock and one for using no hints.

What ads does it show, and what do they collect?

Ads come from Google AdMob: a banner, an occasional full-screen ad between puzzles, and video ads you can choose to watch for a reward. Google's ad software collects some device and usage information to show and measure them; the privacy policy lists exactly what.
